Make A Wish

The Make-A-Wish Foundation has been around since 1980, making dreams come true for children who've been diagnosed with a life threatening medical condition. It all started with Chris Greicius, a young boy who wanted nothing more than to be a police officer some day. Since then, the organization expanded to 25,000 volunteers who have helped over 250,000 children worldwide. The volunteers help with granting 'wishes', working fundraisers and special events, as well as any other service that may be necessary.

Blizzard Entertainment was founded on February 8, 1991, under the name Silicon & Synapse, and was based in Irvine, California. In the beginning, the company created game ports for other studios. It wasn't until 1993 that Silicon & Synapse began creating their own videogames. In 1994, the company became Blizzard Entertainment, Inc., and eventually became partners with Vivendi. Since then, Blizzard has become the most widely known name in the world of videogames, creating such names as Warcraft, Diablo, Starcraft, and the incredibly successful World of Warcraft.

Blizzard has not only donated over a million dollars to Make-A-Wish, but also helped make Ezra Chatterton's wish just a few years ago. With the help of Blizzard Staff, Ezra was allowed to make any changes to the game World of Warcraft, that had a fanbase of over 8 million people worldwide. The characters he created, Ahab Wheathoof and his dog, Kyle, are still in the game today.
