Course Standards:

 

1.1    The learner will demonstrate an understanding of the evolution of technology by completing various class projects.

1.2    The learner will demonstrate an understanding of the basic parts of a computer system and their functions.

1.3    The learner will create various documents that demonstrate the ability to effectively use word processing and spreadsheets.

1.4    The learner will create various documents that demonstrate the ability to effectively use desktop publishing and graphic applications.

1.5    The learner will demonstrate the ability to effectively use computer operating systems and storage of data.

1.6    The learner will demonstrate the ability to effectively use the world-wide web and email for various projects.

1.7    The learner will demonstrate knowledge of problem-solving techniques by completing various class projects.

1.8    The learner will demonstrate various engineering strategies by completing various class projects.

1.9    The learner will demonstrate knowledge of different technology systems (transportation, communications, mechanical, and engineering) by completing various class projects.

2.0  The learner will complete at least two (2) reading/writing assignments dealing with
