About Ms. Swartz

FillerI have had Ms. Swartz for Spanish II and I currently have her for Spanish III. I also plan on taking AP Spanish with her (making a grand total of five years in Spanish). One of the reasons I love Spanish so much is becuase of how she has taught the language and how she delivers it. Ms. Swartz is always extremely enthusiastic and makes the language easy to learn. We often use songs, games, and even puppets to help learn Spanish.
FillerMs. Swartz teaches Spanish in the TPRS format. This stands for Teaching Proficiency through Reading and Story Telling. This idea focuses on the brain's ability to memorize complex ideas through repetition and word usage. We used this system for half a year in Spanish II and we are now using this system all year in Spanish III. I think it is a very fun, efficient, and easy way to learn a foreign language.
